So we closed on our lovely new home on June 30. Spent the night on the family room floor after 2 bottles of champagne and a pizza. We just looked up at the sky (skylights) soaked in the overwhelming feeling that we bought a house.
We have spent the majority of this weekend moving. I rented a U-Haul to move the bulk of our stuff on Friday night. Many thanks to Joe, my Dad, uncle Paul, uncle Dan, Brett and Justin for all their help on Friday. The U-Haul was a piece of junk, leaked oil all over my new driveway, wouldn’t stay in gear and then left us stuck at the old Home Depot while Joe and I were picking up the new patio set for my house. Here is a picture of that crappy ass U-Haul:
This weekend also marked the annual Greater Gietl Open (GGO) Golf Tournament which was held here in Colorado this year. Quite an exciting year for golf fans, first the US Women’s Open and now the GGO. It was great to see so many of my extended family members but of course all those that could not make it were very much missed.
Here is a picture of one of my youngest nephews, Tyler being a little ham:
Ok, it’s late, I’m tired and can’t focus anymore. I’ll post more tomorrow as time permits.
